Automation – Date Condition

In this article, you’ll learn how to use the Date condition in Growmatik. This allows you to create a rule to execute on a specific date, a period of time or consecutively at a specific time during the day.


Date conditions can help you with occasional campaigns and chronological targeting such as Black Friday or Valentine’s Day. You can create and schedule your campaign in advance for any date. You can also use this condition to apply time-based personalization to your page such as a nice welcome message based on the time of the day.

There are three options to choose from when creating a time-based rule with the Date condition:

  • Specific date
  • Period
  • Time of day

Defining a specific date as the condition:

  1. Click on the Date condition in Growmatik Automations page.
  2. Select the Specific date option.
  3. Select a date from the date picker.
  4. Click on the Save button.

Defining a period of time as the condition:

  1. Click on the Date condition.
  2. Select the Period option.
  3. Define a Start date and an End date from the date picker.
  4. Click on the Save button.

Defining a specific time of day as the condition:

  1. Click on the Date condition.
  2. Select the Time of day option.
  3. Select an option from the drop-down: Morning, Noon, Evening, Night.
  4. Click on the Save button.

Note: The time period for each of the options inside Time of day is the following:

  • Morning: 6:00 until 10:59
  • Noon: 11:00 until 18:59
  • Evening: 19:00 until 21:59
  • Night: 22:00 until 5:59
